Supermarket policies on mis-pricing

Do other supermarkets have the same mis-pricing policy as Tesco?
We bought some batteries from Asda and were charged wrong and my husband was given a refund and kept the batteries.
Was this a one off or should we now be giving Tesco a rest and going to other stores ie Morrisons.

I have a feeling that Asda use to give a £2 gift card as well as the difference back in the price but that is all.
The rest as far as I am aware just give back the over charge and nothing else.

This must have been a one off. I bought some olive oil in Asda a couple of weeks ago because it was reduced to about £1.80 but they charged me the £5.50+ original price.
When I noticed and complained they had to refund the difference to my card, but that was all I got.You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -
I think it depends who is on customer services at the time. I have been "double scanned" on numerous occasions in Asda. Sometimes I get a £2 card plus the refund, sometimes I just get the refund. In Tesco "double scans" get me just the refund, but I do think I should get a R&R for this, but it has never been offered. Does anyone have any thoughts on this R&R???Just about to give up!0

I got overcharged by 50p at adsa - cs just gave me the 50p back
I said I thought it was £2 on a gift card if you were over charged -it was & the sa gave me a gift card
the item cost 1.5 so for me it was free

You just get the difference at Morrisons, and usually end up waiting for ages whilst they so it out for you!0

The policy at Asda is a £2 gift card, R+R at Tesco for an overcharge, but for cashier error you only get the difference. There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0
