im a mum off 3children all with special needs between me and my husband we have around 20,000 worth of debt (god knows how)we have been paying minimum payments 4a long time now.i rent a home from a housing association.my husband is selfemployed but since moving 6mths ago hes had no work and now hes been signed off due to a knee injury.i really dont know what to do to still desperately struggle to pay everything or consider bankrupsty.how does this work?could i lose my home ?because off the kids needs i cant work and most off the debts accumalated when our finances were good and before my child was born with disabilitys.my credit score is terrible so cant try and refinance.i just did that with my bank loans with my bank but im going to end up paying a fortune.dont know what to do,i dont want to get out of paying our debts and have tried.any advice?

I agree with AMG2B do the soa asap. Go through the last year of bank statements to work out exactly what you spend.
Have a look at entitledto website and make sure you are claiming all the benefits you are entitled to. The benefits section on this forum will help with any questions you may have.
Also check out the moneysaving old style board they can cut grocery spending by lots0 -
Hi as you rent and dont own your property you would not lose your home.Have you had a benefits check to see if your claiming everything your entitled to.
Could your hubby look after the children whilst you worked. Due to you having three disabled children You would be entitled to £2040.00 per child in working tax credits on top of child tax credits and if the child is on higher rate dla there is a further 1000.00 plus. Add to that the family element. As you have disabled children you would only have to work 16 hours.0
