Archos AV700 100GB [CLOSED]

QVC are selling the Archos AV700 100GB model with 7" screen for £399.99 plus P & P today only. They are also offering the option of paying by 3 interest free monthly instalments of £133.32.

This is the cheapest I have seen this model anywhere, but it's only on sale until midnight tonight.

I wonder how many people would choose this over a laptop? Pricewise.

the idea is that its a portable media centre, much smaller than a laptop, ie 7 inch screen, looks very good, and with all the extra stuff you get with it, which i think you don,t get with it from pc world, dixon, curry,s amazon, the first three by the way are selling it for 549. so well spotted RDA, thats the idea of this site see a bargain and pass it on to others, the choice then becomes theirs, needless to say one on the way to me

I wasn't discouraging the find .... was just curious about the product itself and the pricetag.

no probs, didn't mean to sound ungrateful for the find myself. Just surprised at the tag because it is in affect a HD and Portable DVD player which separately but priced together would be nearer half the price.

I guess its just what Apple did with ipods and I shouldn't be so surprised!

When I read the write up on the 7" the picture quality is very poor which could explain the cheap price.

where is this shop???

only goto warrington occasionally for family visits and rugby, but wouldn't mind checking it out?

arrived last week, very good, average on easy to use, great for compactness, but i must admit for the price i do wonder if i,d would of been a little more worthwhile spending a bit more and perhaps getting good quality laptop. but then the archos is more compact and easier to cart around
