We are looking into this too, think they are a great idea.
But, looking into quotes, the prices add up!!
Snappabox were the cheaper option for us, around £625 for 3 hours, including travel...
We haven't got any photographer booked yet, so were wondering if anyone knew if it was something that a photographer could do themselves, as we have a venue that is quite accomadating ( with private use rooms next to reception room)0 -
A great idea but they are a really big expense on top of everything else. All you need is some black fabric, a camera and tripod on a remote, and a light diffuser thing. I am pretty sure you could rent it all at a fraction of the cost.I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

I did a lot of research on this for my wedding party. You need more than a camera and a light thingy, as the photos look really bad. I spoke to a few of the photo booth hire people and they were all really helpful. In the end we booked the SnappaBox photo booth. They weren't the cheapest, but I'd say that they were the best value for money. They were very professional and the prints were great quality. As well as the online gallery, we got a DVD with all of the images on so we could print extra ones after the party. The only extra we ordered was the guestbook which I now treasure as a great keepsake from our great day.0

we too thought that i photobooth idea is fantastic...and after a bit of google research we found groovybooth. Based in bath,so good for weddings in the west country.
They have good rates, comparable to those of snappabox etc, but didn't charge for travel. Also got discount for a friday wedding.
Also found that James, the guy running the booth a really good easy going chap.
Good luck with finding the right package for you0 -

I am a photobooth engineer and never knew you could hire booths for partys. I know our booths are often featured in commercials and films, but not sure wether we hire them out or at what cost.
I may well ask some questions tomorrow, if anyone is interested in a response you could pm me.
As I said at the start of my post I have no idea if this a starter or not.0 -
I never knew you could rent these things. Seems a weird thing to rent? Whats wrong with a nice park on a sunny day. or paint the inside of your garage?0
