I first noticed I was having difficulty paying my debts in August 2008 when I sat down and looked at my finances, I was "robbing Peter to pay Paul" as I was taking money off my credit card to suport myself and even pay the payments on my credit card bill.
Then in November my mum was made redundant from work and I had to take over paying all bills. My mum also suffers from depression since my brothers death in 2005, and is finding it really difficult at the moment to find work.
I have explained my situation to my creditors and offered token payments each month, which they will not accept and they are charging me more interest and charges so the debt is getting bigger. I contacted two debt charities who advised bankruptcy.
Does this sound ok d day is friday and I am really worried/scared.
Thanks

That sounds fine to me but I'm sure others will be along soon who will give their opinions as well. Good luck for Friday

Bankruptcy Order: 5th January 20096 of 36 IPA payments made!!0 -
I think that sounds perfectly fine, the only thing you may wish to consider and also that might of saved me a grilling in the OR interview, was the fact that i added a few major items that caused me to get into the debt.
It helped me in my circumstances.
Hope this helps. Good luck.0 -
This is absolutely standard, we've all done this sort of thing. The OR will know and you have the change in circumstances with your mum's illness. It will be fine.
Good luck.Bankrupt 11th June 2008
