Question on IPAa

Hiya Guys
hope you are all doing well. Just got a quick question regarding IPAs - OH has an IPA of £60 per month and is coming up for a pay review. Now if he gets a payrise do you HAVE to declare it (I think I know the answer to that one!:o) - so he gets a payrise and say they take another £100 per month that would then be for the next 36 months...... If say he says to employer dont give me a payrise until discharged from br and then when he is discharged has a payrise - do you still have to declare this even tho you are no longer in br ...... ALSO has anyone ever been discharged from an IPA earlier than the 36 months???? just trying to see whats best way to tackle this in our benefit of course.:rotfl:
thanks

If it says he has to tell the OR of any income change until discharge then no. ALSO has anyone ever been discharged from an IPA earlier than the 36 months????Don't think it works like that but i could be worng,i think it just gets suspended untilthe36 mths are up. That said mine was "dissolved"but have since been told this no longer happens just trying to see whats best way to tackle this in our benefit of course.:rotfl:
thanks

Dalip's IPA was dissolved before her ED. But they don't disolve anymore, they will suspend it if your circumstances change and you can't afford it anymore. The months it is suspended will count towards the 36 months.
You have to inform the OR of any changes to your income up or down during the 36 months of the IPA.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
some OR offices still use the old wording(when bc was 3 years) when sending out IPA letters, which reads "you should inform the OR of any changes to your circumstances until discharged"(i can get the actual wording if you need it)so no one could blame you if you failed to tell them after discharge, after all not everybody is as clued up as some of us on here;) .DxFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau
