9 FEB 06 Tesco Deal of the Day -Xbox Live Starter Kit + Pro Evolution Soccer 5 £37.99

Get an Xbox Live Starter Kit + Pro Evolution Soccer 5 for £37.99
dotd-459.gif
Offer Valid from 00:00 Thursday 9th February 2006 to 23:59
I found this while searching through tesco's upcoming DOTDs

This seems a good deal as:
The same kit is on Amazon for £48.99
PES5 on its own has a RRP of £39.99
Xbox Live Starter Kit on its own retails for £39.99

AND
The game, headset and 12-month subscription are Xbox 360 compatible

So would make an ideal alternative to the £17.97 Halo 2 Xbox Live Kit which Tesco Jersey had on offer (which nobody actually received)...

Log onto tesco.com on 9th February to take advantage of this offer.
And go through quidco for 3% cashback

Regards.

Not a bad offer. Can sell the game on for £15-20 so the live kit ends up costing £18-£23.

Alternatively, Play.com have the live kit + PGR2 for £25, the game can be sold on for a fiver, making the live kit £20. edit: just noticed this is now sold out

Some HMV retail stores have the live kit + PGR2 for £40 with BOGOF, so that makes £20 each.

Any of these deals is a damn sight better than the £40 RRP for the live kit.

All those offers were pretty good...
Virtually all HMVs in the london area which ive been to (Hampstead, Islington, Oxford Circus, Oxford Street) are sold out of the £39.99 BOGOF xbox live kit with PGR2 (Queensway might have a couple left)...

Also, the PGR2 + XBL Kit on Play.com sold out yesterday which was a pretty good deal.

Also the HMV website had BOGOF Xbox live starter kit (on its own) £39.99 but that is no longer on offer...

So until another Xbox live kit comes along... Tesco.com on 9th feb would be your best bet :p

Quite a nice deal, some cheap XBox Live gold membership and a game which I never owned which may be quite good on Live :)

if you copy "http://www.tesco.com/sale/i/dotd-459.gif" and change the last part, -459.gif to say, -460.gif and press enter in your web address browser (long white bar that says http://forums.moneysavingexpert..... you'll see what the day after's deal of the day is
Todays' "Deal Of the Day" is http://www.tesco.com/sale/i/dotd-454.gif (so add 5 to 454 = 459 (which would be 5 days time, the 9th feb).

Thats how i found it, dunno about OP :)

That's EXACTLY how i found it... changing the URL of the gif image :p
Just if someone from tesco comes along and sees how people know about it they'd patch up that little "exploit"...which is why I didn't post how...

Well, Its not as though they dont make enough profit, it'd cost more in hours for the webadmin to rescript the site than it would in (any theoritically) lost sales for the next 5days worth of "Deal Of the Days" :)

I couldn't wait for this, so opted to get one from ebuyer that i am "pretty sure" will work on 360 for £32.97 with Fifa 2005 and 12month subscription/headset. Wont post the details incase its not compatible.

Standard price is only £39.99 at Game.Net and available right away. May be useful for people who cant wait, or those who have an Electron card (as I believe Tesco online doesnt accept) or simply cant order on the one day Tesco are offering it.
