Been a while since posting here, all is going well (for a change
)
I am fed up of having a cash card from Nationwide, and I am just trying to apply for a debit card account with them, and a question crops up....
Now both my wife and I were declared BR in May 2007 and discharge a year later, does this mean we are currently Bankrupt, or do they mean during the first year?
Secondly, reading up on the clearing credit file sticky at the top, is it worth going through the process now and trying to clear it up, or waiting a while? Could do with a better credit rating as the wife want's to swap mobile networks to get a better deal, which usually means a credit check:rolleyes:
Thanks

Are you (either of you for joint applications) currently bankrupt or have you entered into an agreement with your creditors (an IVA)?

You are no longer bankrupt. You are a discharged bankrupt and will be for ever more, but you are no longer currently bankrupt. You can honestly answer NO to that question.
I would personally start the credit clear up sooner rather than later to make sure there are no errors on the file etc.0 -
Thanks Skylight

Just ordering Credit reports.... wish me luck!
edit: Gonna have to do the CRF's first, NW won't even entertain a none overdraft flexaccount

I can't find my details on the insolvency website, do they housekeep it after a while??0 -
No - you are only listed there for 3 months after discharge. You will always be on the Gazette though.0
