Hey,
just been reading through some things, and think i could be in lots of trouble.
Put in for bankruptsy last tuesday as things just became to much for me to handle, lost my job etc.... filled in all the paper work and taken it to the court, the OR has had a phone interview with me today and its just dawned on me that there was a couple of times like not very much that iv used my credit card to top up my online poker account. i havn't declaired this and now feel like a real criminal 'which im guessing is what i am' wow im really not feeling well about this now, thought i was coping with things alright.
What am i meant to do?? how much trouble am i in??

Hi Jeff
I would work out how much you spent on gambling and then ring the OR's office and explain that you didnt declare the this expense and you realise your error. Grovelling & profuse apologies will help a lot!!
If it is a small amount then the OR may just tell you off and then ignore it but if it is a significant amount then they can extend the restrictions and/or extend the bankruptcy period depending on how serious your gambling problem was.0 -
Hi cheers for that, iv just totaled it up to be around £300-£350 over the last 6 months topping it up in bits. I called my OR and got passed to the examiner who was like cheers for letting me know, i said sorry and he was like no thats opk sir, how would you take that?0

Thats called the 'water torture' response lol
Don't worry about it, it's out of your hands now.0 -
I read somewhere that you need to have spent around 10 or 15% of your total debt on gambling for it to be considered misconduct. You could've easily spent £300 on a few nights out (in London you can anyway!)
You'll be fine.
