How to write a biography - as a present?

Hi everyone. I hope this is posted in the right board. I've just seen advertised at Prezzybox a "My Life" journal that you can fill in and give as a gift. I love this idea to prepare for my children and then give to them on a special birthday for them to hopefully carry on. I would also like to write one about my life to keep for when I am not here. However what I would really like is something that had some headings to help inspire me as I'm not the best diary writer!!

Can anyone recommend something that I could use? I don't mind just getting a really lovely blank book and then using a website for the ideas.

Thanks for any ideas.

Think this is a fantastic idea! Not sure exactly how you can go about it but a strting block could be to draw up a time line of your life, pulling out all the significant events such as christening, school, college, uni, wedding, births etc then try and fill in the blanks with some other things like holidays, interests, hobbies, friends etc.

Let everyone know how you get on! I may nick this idea in the future!!! x

I picked up one from the charity shop - Family Chronicle. Gave the questions and spaces for the answers but it didn't leave enough room for details on second marriages etc. Was a good guideline for questions for my Journal in a Jar though and I will get around to finishing it off eventually:rolleyes:
