Is it possible to go and buy catering sized stuff from anywhere? Just wondering as could do with some giant sized things for my storecupboard, instead of little stuff. Is it true you HAVE to be a business or buy loads of stuff at once in these catering/cash and carry places??

most places you may need a trade card ,ask about and see if you can borrow a makro card from someone they will let you in with a card if the person who's name it is in gives you a covering letter.
i use makro quite often for things and they dont have a minimum spend

You do not need to be trade to get a Costco card, they do have a list of professions that can apply, it is a pretty big list though and includes all members of the armed forces, fire brigade and police, government employed people etc. Unfortunately they do not have a huge number of stores so we have to travel 45 mins to get there. Still worth it for us personally as we go 4-5 times a year and get a huge quantity.
