Hi all!
I need some help from you guys.
I'm getting married in Fiji in October this year
but am lost on the right wedding dress. It will just be the two of us there but obviously I need something not too heavy and fussy.
I have looked in the usual places, BHS, Debenhams and Monsoon but is there somewhere I have missed? It goes without saying that I am trying to do this on a budget!
Please help!!

Hi,
Have you had a look at Landy's website? You could have a look at the bridesmaids dresses as they are obviously less fussy than the wedding dresses and she makes them in whatever colour you choose. Most of her Bridesmaids dresses are around EUR80 (which works out at roughly £72.00 + postage).
If you don't fancy going down the Landy route then I would say have a look anyway for inspiration, maybe you could get the dress made locally if you see one you like???
M&S have got a new range of bridalwear coming out in April. Also if you have a TK Maxx near you quite often they get wedding dresses in. Also have a look on E-Bay - you never know what you might find on there! If I can come up with any better suggestions I'll let you know!

Whats hubby wearing?
could you research what the locals wear when they get married?
See if its what you like and if you can get it out there? They must have wedding shops out there for the locals and they may have a web site.
If this is a possibility for you, I would try a forum contected with Fiji and ask the question there.
Trip advisor is one worth trying.
I'm getting married abroad this year and have found that wearing what we would in this country is not really practical abroad! theres the nightmare of getting a dress there without it being crushed in baggage to start with.
hope this helps0 -

Hello
I too am getting married overseas. We are doing the deed in Vegas and I wanted to still wear a dress, but nothing over the top but still looked like a bride. So after reading all the reviews about Landy, I ordered the dress HS3081, which is the Maggie Sottero AMY. I thought it ticked all the boxes. Lets just hope I like it when it turns up!!0 -
Are you having a reception over here that you need a dress for?0

Landy's website is fab! What a great find!
I think I should maybe try a few dresses on first to see what style I suit but this is a definite option for me! Thank you so much!0 -
No, no reception. It is just the two of us so it will be a very simple and laid back affair (hopefully!).0

Your dress is gorgeous!!! I'm sure you'll love it when you get it.
Let me know when it arrives - i would love to know how it turned out!!0 -
niaud, I got married abroad in 2006, I wore a normal wedding dress. TBH I had no problems getting over in a hard case and the hotel did offer a steaming services if need - I didn't I found it was fine and I hung it as soon as I arrived.
I had a corset dress with a larger skirt & hoop. This was ideal as it keep the dress off my skin so it felt cooler. IYSWIM
I'd say go for the dress you want - it's your day
