Hi guys
Does anyone know ( or is anyone) a good mechanic in Edinburgh who is MOT registered and doesnt cost the earth and wont do work to the car the doesnt need it ( eg.. Kw*k fuffing fit... skinned me for nearly £300 worth of work which Vauxhall subsequently told me didnt need done)..

I always use Farmers Autocare. There are a few dotted around Edinburgh. They always seem competative, but also, if it can be fixed instead of replaced, they will try. For example, my OH's windscreen wash went faulty, we presumed we needed a new pump so left it with them. When we went to pick it up, they said it was a simple electrical fault on the pump and only charged us for a hours labour. I will ALWAYS use them now.If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands
