Apologies for cross-posting, but this ends tomorrow..
This has just been posted on our notice board at work. Not tried it myself, but thought it might be of interets to some:
Scotrail is offering half-price train tickets through its QJump web booking service. The bookings have to be made by tomorrow, and cannot be made for journeys after January 3rd, but otherwise there seem to be no strings attached.
Discounts are available on Cheap Day Returns, Savers and Supersavers (i.e. these are not Apex-style tickets and you don't have to specify in advance which trains you are travelling on - although there are certain restrictions on the trains you can use).
The tickets are not just for ScotRail services. You can buy for any journey in Britain.
When you book at the URL below, the discount price will not at first be evident; it will only show up almost at the very end of the process, just before you commit to payment.
