Dress Sizing From Landy

Hi Folks,

Looking for anyone with experience of buying from Landy Bridal. My future wife is 5' 10" and in the sizing guide all the dresses say that the shoulder to floor length (with shoes) is 60 inches. This is the dress that she likes-

Do you think it would be too short?
It may be a silly question but we've never done this before.

Just ask them to custom make it to the perfect size

I am also 5'10 and that's what I have done.

Hi,
I had the opposite problem as only being 5'2" everything I tried on was far too long and the alterations would have cost a fortune. It would also have spoiled the look of the original style dress that I wanted as it was embroidered around the bottom.

I got mine from Landy and gave her the measurements for the length and asked her to allow a bit for a hoop. The dress was the perfect length and it didn't cost any extra.

So yes I think it might be too short but so long as you supply measurements it won't be a problem. Stunning dress btw.

Its only a provisional dress and not the definate one yet......... she likes so many, but they all say 60 inches.
Cant beleive the prices and that it can be custom made...seems a bit too good to be true but I've hesard a lot of great stories about landy and it would be worth the gamble.

I thought that as well and was prepared to chuck it in the bin if it was awful - but it was fabulous.

I had so many compliments about it from complete strangers in the hotel it got embarrassing :rotfl:.
