Grapes @ 79p for 500g

I just bought some grapes in Asda for 79p for 500g. They were Flame grapes from Argentina. They taste fine, maybe a bit smaller than ones at 3 or more times the price.

I had some last week, I accidentaly left them in the car overnight so they were very chilled to put it mildly and they were absolutely delicious, they just about lasted to Bradford as a second course to my breakfast;) I almost called in at Asda to get another box for the trip home:D

As a Greengrocer i can tell you the best grapes you can buy are South African Thomson grapes (white). The taste absolutly fantastic.

79p for 500 grams is surprisingly good value too....

I'd agree about South African grapes. In winter all grapes are so expensive that it's nice to get some at a reasonable price.

went to eat some of the red grapes and ate the lot they are really good i had bought them to put into a fresh fruit salad that i make instead of making a sugar syrup i use diet lemonade and it works really well
