Working hours / holidays?

Hi,
My boyfriend has recently had his hours cut. He was working a guaranteed 40 hours with overtime over 5 days, but has now been cut down to 24 hours over 3 days with possible overtime. Now his boss is saying that he won't be having his usual 20 days holiday, as he has now cut it down to 12 days.
Can he do this? Is it legal?
I really hope someone can help me on this!!

no that is against the law to reduce holidays from the statutory minimum. He should consult acas.0

If your boyfriend works less than 2.5 days per week he is only entitled to 12 days per year.
A 5 day week is 24 days.
To find out exactly what he is entitled to use the calculator here:

Going by your info it appears he is entitled to 132hrs holiday per year which is 11 days.0 -
Assuming he still gets his BH's I think it's correct.....
If he gets 20 days a year it works out at 4 working weeks in total when he works a 5 day week.
As he's now working a 3 day week, 12 days holiday also works out as 4 weeks off.
IRRC, overtime isn't counted for holiday entitlement.0
