Did you also know, Premier, that B&Q have just announced that they are going to slash 400 of the 1200 staff working at their HQ near Southampton. I suspect that margins are tight, consumers are spending less; so the only way to keep profits up is to cut backroom staff.

Be interesting to see what offers spring up during the Winter.

Oh, by the way, B&Q staff have a Discount card that entitles them to 20% off [if I remember correctly]. So, get chummy with a member of staff!! :rotfl:

Can't find anything about this on their site when looking at the different cards that they do (2 Types). Anyone know any more?

I'm hoping that it is 10% as I'm lacking in the 'knowing a 60 year old' department.

We've been looking at garden furniture, and theres a couple of nice sets out there, ranging from £199-£299.

Does anyone have any online codes for B&Q to get THIS set down another 10%?

The full set: Rectangular Dining Table, 2 Blue Stacking Chairs, 2 Folding Recliner Chairs, Parasol and base comes to a total of £264.00 iirc (including 20% already off!)

Would be nice to get it for £240 or less, if anyone has any codes/ideas or just a couple hundred B&Q vouchers that they wanna "deal or no deal" with :rotfl: Ebay has limited choice with vouchers etc

Looking for a Flymo Sabre Cut Cordless Hedge Trimmer or very similar but have had very bad experience on eBay so want to get it from somewhere well know now.

Yes I've looked at the GTech but its not as good as the Flymo (cuts thicker branches and longer blade). It's for my parents but I think they may rethink the cordless bit if it means we can get something similar cheaper.
