advice on laptop that got broke re insurance payout cover

can any one advise me please my daughters lap top got broken over new year ( ended up on the floor) i rang the insurance company as i know we had accidental cover they arranged collection and i have had a call today to say they will replace it with a similar spec to mine which is a toshiba satelite pro l300/lal at a cost of £205.59p which includes my £100 excess or i can pay just the excess of £100 and have it repaired bearing in mind mine is oldish now, the company that rang me said the cost of the repair is £258 so my insuarance company will pay that towards a new one or i can choose another if i look aroundis there any one that can advise me on this as i have never used a laptop so im not sure what to look for or do
any help would be great
