Ive done a wee search and dont see it mentioned anywhere on the board yet.

Theres a discount store called something like African Childrens Ministries in the town center, just up from Subway / Clarks etc towards Tesco. Profits go to charity and the staff are lovely :) Do check use by dates - some are pretty close

Today I got Impulse bodyspray, firelighters, crunchy nut cornflakes, quaker oats, sugar, flour, ham, cheese and marigold gloves, all less that half the price of Tescos. Theres loads of sweets/crisps/chocolate that seem cheap, but I dont know how much they would cost other places.

They also hold a stall in the carpark of the Church of Ireland in Greenisland on Saturday mornings.

That would be near the top of West Street. Great wee shop LMac. Stock can differ each week you go in - but worth keeping an eye on. I always buy my Quaker Oats there - 90p, and they have good dates on them. Tayto Cheese and Onion are always good price too. (they take your used carrier bags too - good place to re-cycle.)
  • I always go in when I'm in the area - especially for some of the more "off the wall" things - in the last month Meridian "Free-from" sauces and absolutely yummy tinned stuffed vineleaves (3 flavours for £2 last time I was in - against £1.90 for one tin of plain ones in Tesco! - and they had a good shelf life as well) You never know what you'll find..
