Hi, I recieved a court summons for unpaid council tax for £592 total inc admin costs.
The date is for 19th Feb and states that if I can pay the whole amount by that date it will clear and cancel the summons.
On the back of the letter it says to call if you have problems paying the whole amount.
Now obv the tax period is April to Jan. Is it possilbe they will accept two payments when I get paid. 27th Feb and 27th March??

In my authority we will make a payment arrangement at this stage under the proviso that the Court Costs are paid and the Liability Order will be obtained in case of any future default.
It is as the council's discretion as to whether they will accept an arrangement but the sooner you contact them the better.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0 -
