17years pension, but leaving the company. What shall I do with it ?

Hi,
I'm contenplating leaving the company I work for after 17years contribution to the final salary scheme.
I'm anticipating several career hops before retirement and was wondering on the best course of action with my current nest egg.
I'm a little green when it comes to pension knowledge, but have had one since the age of 20 (currently 37yrs young).
Should I:
Leave it where it is ?
Transfer it to whatever company scheme I end up working for ?
Use it to fund a private investment/pension ?
At this moment in time I'm anticipating working for the next 25-30 years.
I will probably consult an IFA before the final decison, but would appreciate some input on the subject
Thanks

Possibly, depending in the scheme.Use it to fund a private investment/pension ?
Unlikely. Around 9/10 final salary schemes are best left where they are.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only.
