Anybody know if this smoothie maker is any good? OH has got pneumonia and all he seems to be drinking at the moment are shop bought smoothies. Or would a juicer be a better option?0

Could try this one, a little more but is a juicer/smoothie maker and citrus press all in one.Has been mentioned on another thread that it could be available at Sainburys for £20 to £25. We got this one from Tesco's for £34 and looks to do a pretty good job - though we have only been using it for a week.

Cheapest price we could find this (prior to Sainsburys) was £45 at Amazon, but more commonly was over £70.
Apologies - don't know why but link hasn't worked? will have another go -still notworking DOH!.0 -
This Kenwood is excellent. Bought my niece one for Crimbo (when it was £32) and she's made up with it.________________________________________

I bought this from Tesco last time it was on offer.
It lasted about three months of daily use then gave up the ghost. Sent it back.
Now I just have a blender, does the same job but better, but that's just my experience.if i had known then what i know now0 -

What sort of blender do you use? Does it have a strong motor?
I have looked at smoothie makers & the only difference between them & a blender seems to be the tap.:j New Year, New You = 1.5lb/12lb:j0 -
Is this one any good for ice - as I just love those frescatis you get at costa coffee and need a blender to crush the ice. thanks0

I ordered one of these from Tesco and it did nothing but leak, so I sent it back. I've now got the one mentioned by Dingdangdoforme and it is much better. I think there was a post last week stating that Sainsburys were doing this for £19.99 but I think they were difficult to get hold of.0

Thanks for this. I've been searching for a cheap one of these for ages. :j:smileyhea0

My daughter got this one for Christmas - Im not very impressed, Im sure a blender would do the same job. It does seem to chop up the fruit very well. My daughter thinks its okay though - some of the recipes are gross...0
