Hi,

Hoping someone can help! It's my parents' 40th wedding anniversary in the summer & we are organising a surprise party for them. We're looking for a venue for 40-50 people for a buffet & get-together in the Kilmarnock/Troon area. Though my brother lives in the area, I'm 5 hours away and so far we're not coming up with any great ideas. It's frustrating as there are loads of perfect places where I live & I'm sure there are similar venues there - if anyone knows of somewhere we'd be really grateful!

Hi.

The Park Hotel in Kilmarnock by the football ground is good and can cater easily for that amount.

I can also recommend Scotts in Troon down at the marina and The Piersland Lodge Hotel.

Try the Gailes Hotel and Restaurant, they have a variety of function rooms and the food is really nice, its located between Irvine and Troon

Might be a long shot but Loudoun Hall in Ayr is sometimes hired out and it's amazing! Look at the South Ayrshire Council website - it's a 15th century townhouse with beams and balconies
