Really funny!!:D Can't imagine what the recipient of the "baby" cake thought.

I ordered a very large cake for a very special wedding anniversay. I ordered it in plenty of time and wrote the instructions out myself so there would be no mistakes. The girl seemed very vacant & I was taking no chances.;)

It was sponge with a filling and light fondant icing with their names and Happy xxth Wedding Anniversary. We agreed date & time to pick it up.

When I arrived it wasn't ready. Cake was made and iced but not decorated. She asked me to come back in about an hour and she'd have it ready. I said "Fine, but do it as plain as you can & obviously with the "greeting" on."
Went back and it was done but she'd forgotten to put the years on. I was in a flap because I'd got to take it on to a pre-arranged party. She took it out the back again and iced the years on.

It looked acceptable anyway & everyone at the party enjoyed it. We stored it carefully in a container & next day went to cut it to finish it off and DS said "what's that bright green thing in the filling." He is VERY fussy so I just said "that'll be a bit of icing sugar leaf." But on closer examination it was bright green mould. The daft girl had used fresh cream to sandwich it together with jam and then being encased in icing (probably for several days) it had gone off. I told them about it and they thought they were doing me a favour they said!
