Can't sleep!

Hi everyone,

well I don't know about any of you but I'm not sleeping very well at the minute! I don't feel stressed in myself but everytime I go to bed I just have wedding things whizzing around my head.

Also been having some strange wedding dreams - like walking down the aisle and OH legging it out of church saying that he needed to play in his football match and Gordon Ramsey arguing with my MIL2B bout who is the best chef!!!

Anyone else experiencing this or is it just me who is a loon bag! :rotfl:

I am exactly the same - try and sleep and I'm thinking about the stuff that needs to be done, worrying how my dress will look, wondering what could go wrong.

Guess I'l join you in the loon-bag corner!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Can I join you both too?! I'm not sleeping well at all, weddings are a nightmare to organise!

I haven't even booked a venue yet and I'm having nightmares! The last one involved me wearing an orange dress (nothing against them, but orange is really not my colour!) and getting married in the little chef down the road.

So, I definitely need to join the loon-bag contingent!!!!
    Nobody I'd rather be ;)
  • Hiya,

Yep you're not alone! I've had nightmares about my dress, about walking through town wearing it looking for shoes to go with it and then realising IT'S THE DAY OF MY WEDDING!! Also that me and DF are spending time together on the day, before we need to be there, and suddenly realise it's 5 mins til we have to be there and I'm not even dressed or anything, he rushes off and I try to get ready quickly but don't make it in time!!!!

ANd the wedding stuff whizzing around your head is definitely the same here - it frustrates me so much! I hope it eases off nearer the time (yeh right!) as they go on and on about how you need your sleep.....Oh dear :o

It's the first thing of think of when I wake up in the morning, and often keeps me awake at night...what colours should we have, what should the invites be like, what dress hall I wear, how much weight should I lose, the list is endless...

I know! It was really bad for a while and then I sa down one evening and wrote down everything i've done and what I still need to do. That night I slept really well and did for a couple of weeks after.

BUT NOW it's Feb and I get married in August and I have got so much to do!!!

I'm even laid in bed thinking about how I am going to make my invites! Argh! I wish the side effect of organising a weddin that I got was weight loss! That'd be one thing off my list at least!!!!! x

I had some crazy dreams too, but they've stopped now. I was feeling really stressed just after Christmas but now that I am 2 weeks away I am totally calm and getting a great night's sleep!

It's worse when you've got loads to do and you can't get your head around the amount of things you need to do, plus there are so many uncertainties - until you sort things out you don't know how easy they are going to be.

As you get things decided and arranged, there will be less things to be buzzing round your head. Lists are a complete saviour - but split them into months and then just get on with the one for the month you're in - the stuff that is in later months you can worry about when you get to them - ignore it for now! Some things you can't do until further down the line so you might as well forget about them for a while.

Then when you get to the point where nearly everything is done, you can have a lovely relaxing few weeks and start really looking forward to it!!

I am absolutely buzzing at the moment - got the whole thing to look forward to and everything is pretty much sorted. I honestly thought I would be running around like a madwoman at this point but everything seems to have just come together! Yeay!

I have got a folder as well with dividers, and as I make my mind up on something I transfer it to a planner so that I can give it to my MOH onthe day and she can make sure it all goes according to plan with the venue co-ordinator. I have also asked her to do a couple of small tasks already.

H2b isn't really that interested at the mo, he said now venue is booked surely we can leave all this til June next year? I was like 'Mother of God what is wrong with you we will be left with all the crap no one wants!!!' or something equally dramatic and stupid :rotfl:
