Canon S 200 Bubble jet printer - repair technician:
Would anyone be able to suggest a good technician around Belfast Area who would be able to check the power input to a Canon S200 bubble jet printer. I've had it for about 5 years but it suddenly stopped on Friday last - a friend said that the AC adapter might be at fault. I don't want to tinker with it but as it has given excellent reliability and top printing quality over the years I really would like to get it seen by an expert & working again if at all possible. I'd much appreciate any help. Thank you

Replacement Canon printer in Asda under £20

New all in one Canon - printer/Scanner/Copier -Argoooooooooooos under £40
to get 5 years out of an inkjet is good going:T:T:TI am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -
if you think it's the adapter you could try getting hold of a universal adaptor and seeing it it works - but really modern printers are not made to be repairable and unfortunately you may just have to look for a new one.0

My printer which cost me a bit under £100 about five years ago went kaput - well, I dropped a paper clip down it:o. The bloke in the computer repair place informed me it wasn't worth my while getting it fixed since you can get new similar 3 in 1 printers for less than £50 these days. It seems to be the norm to chuck and replace rather than repair these days. I wonder how much the ink cartridges are for the two printers mentioned by steveymp. There you are, I didn't answer your question did I? Sorry...:rolleyes:0

No idea about the Canon ones, but I've had a couple of Epsons and use the "copy" cartridges available in the likes of Mplex at £2-£3 each, so far I can't complain. I even print photos with little bother. I make a point of using genuine Epson cartridges every 3rd or 4th change, just in case. The Epson all-in-one printers are excellent, it's handy to have a colour photocopier at home!Norn Iron Club Member No. 252 :beer:0
