hours being cut

hi its getting quiet where i work (shop) fewer people are coming in everyday.
im not casual staff but my boss has been calling me about an hour and a half before im due to start work to tell me not to bother coming in because its quiet. now i know she is trying to save money by telling me to stay at home but i cant afford the drop in wages, can she keep doing this to me?

well honestly i don´t know what to do now as well feel i am stucking in nowhere, credit crunch here, redundancy there well it seems not to be a great time for employees at the moment...
