 Most evenings i saved lecky by burning candles on my fireplace, the best place to buy was my beloved Home Bargains, pack of three white pillar very large, large and medium candles an amazing £2.99, unfortunately alas no more, they have had no stock of candles since way before christmas and no sign of any new. Someone told me it was the fault of the Chinese ? who saturated the uk with cheap candles to capture the market, true or not i cant find anywhere to compare. Yes there are candles out there , but not of this quality and long burning time at this price, unless anyone knows better if
so i would be very interested. Thankyou for your time and help reading this post

End of last year I bought candles in Primark for 50p each. The candles are round and measures 200x70mm. Burns up to 100 hours each. I'm not sure if they still got them though. I will let you know if they're still available when I come back from my shopping trip later.

100 hours of 9W energy saver bulb costs approx. 1p
Not as romantic but definitely cheaper option and safer.0 -
Have you tried Ikea? or perhaps use tealights in the meantime x0

Think you may find 100X9=900watts
About 12-15p

John3;16 -yes! I worked out about 1 unit (kwh) and thought I'd put 10p in my post.0

Ikea do a 100 pack of tealights for £1.59 (or thereabouts?) Their pillar candles start from 99p.
Not sure where I read it, but there was something recently about the price of candles going to be increasing dramatically (but then, what isn't going up in price just now?)0 -
I'm a PartyLite consultant and our candles won't be dramatically increasing in price in the near future thankfully!!Murphy's No More Pies Club Member No. 680

I adore partylite candles, they are more expensive but smell gorgeous and last so long, definately worth the price i don't use any cheap candles anymore.0
