Hi folks,
I'm looking to do a loft conversion in the not too distant future and I'm hoping to tap into some of your local contractor knowledge.
I'm in Bangor and currently have had 2 companies out to price the work, with a sizeable difference in cost so I think I'll be getting another 2 or 3 quotes "to be sure to be sure".
I've drawn up the plans and have confirmed that I don't need planning permission but obviously i will need building control approval & a structural engineers report (another area where prices varied greatly).
Any advice much appreciated.
Cheers, Milko

    Hi Milko,
We had a loft conversion done last year by Bloomfield Construction - sounds similar to yours in that we didn't need planning permission but did require BC approval and Structural engineer input. We used Bloomfield Construction again recently to install vu-fold doors and block pave outside and our neighbours also used them for a sunroom. Can honestly say that we thought they were great to deal with, honest and fair. Alan is the owner/boss and he arranged the BC visits and the structural engineer input. Overall, very happy (well, we used them again so we must have been!) and would certainly suggest that you call Alan for a quote. I only have his mobile number: 07725340475. Tell him Niall and Catriona recommended him. Good luck with the project!
  • Canon S 200 Bubble jet printer repair

Would anyone be able to suggest a good technician around Belfast Area who would be able to check the power input to a Canon S200 bubble jet printer. I've had it for about 5 years but it suddenly stopped on Friday last - a friend said that the AC adapter might be at fault. I don't want to tinker with it but as it has given excellent reliability and top printing quality over the years I really would like to get it working again it, if at all possible. I'd much appreciate any help. Thank you

"get2thefacts", whilst I appreciate your dilema, I can't see how this helps with my loft conversion query  ... only joking buddy, I see you've now posted your own topic ;)

Now back to my query, any other recommendations ???
