Hi,
I received a txt message earlier from clanchatton, which i assume is a debt collection agency (as far as i'm aware i dont have any outstanding debts!!! that im not already in the process of dealing with!) they asked for me to call them on 0870 7741250 and quote a ref no!!! or access there website www.ccspay.co.uk i refuse to call 0870 numbers as of the cost of them!! and didnt get any joy from the website, as it asks for an account no, which i dont have!!! only a ref no, i havent had any letters sent to me, although i did move 7 months ago so not sure bout previous address!!! i googled clanchatton and found someone, that had posted on another site saying they were a bogus debt collection agency!!!! has anyone else heard of them or had dealings with them??? any advice greatly appreciated
Thanks.

Just leave it, if they are legit I'm sure they'll track you through the electoral register.0

To further add to what chutzpah said you really should just delete any non personal texts. Legit companies should not be using such an unproffesional approach. I never accept texts relating to business unless I have already had contact with them and english is not a primary language, all others call or get ignored.
Perhaps i'm getting old and this is the new way though?:staradmin5k - 00:27:46:staradmin 10k - 00:57.03:staradminHalf - 02:01:15:staradmin5M - 00:44:07:staradmin0 -
This scam seems to be on the move again: I got a text just like this today. I have looked up some references to it and it seems certain that it is a scam. I have no outstanding debts.
