just of curiosity does anyone know how much money you can earn before they start taking tax from you

You will need to list every single penny coming in to your house if you want help from the good people on here. Surely you don't keep a family of 4 on that amount of money. You should be getting child tax credit, working tax credit, child benefit, council tax rebate.

taking tax from you all depends on your tax code and you are not earning enough to pay it.

we do get all of those except for working tax credit, but they all get paid to my OH

thanks for that, but i wanted to know how much in a week before they tax you

the reason i ask this is because i get £72 a week for some work but i get paid in cash, i wondered if i could include this in my SOA and not get asked why i dont pay tax by the OR

They're still household income so you have to put them down, and an average of the money you get paid.
