And in the four posts before that? I was polite. I admit I was less than polite in the quoted post but I was responding to melodrama after my polite comment re AIL's views on the subject had been replied to in a manner that clearly implied the OP wasn't bothered with what AIL thought on the matter,

As I've repeatedly said - take it up with a moderator if you think it's so unfair that the answer was removed and I have spent a ridiculous amount of time since defending myself from various insults.

in post 51 you say you asked 8 or 9 times before you basicly got rude this was your 4th post in this thread.
    your confussing me...
  • I think the main problem here is that guinea-pig-guy didn't get the joke as he doesn't enter comps from this forum. If it was a tricky question (as are the Friday Four ones) then I understand no posting the answer, but when the prize and question is supplied by someone else (NOT allinlondon) and the same question appears on several threads a day, then the answer becomes a bit of a standing joke - happened before with beta glucan. Unless someone visited the forum and ONLY came to this thread - as guinea-pig-guy probably did - then they could hardly fail to know the answer as it's been posted on so many threads. That's why it was funny.

Now we're all aware of the total lack of humour of AIL we will I'm sure refrain from joking on any more of thir threads :)

I'm sorry Cavycrazy but i just don't know how you have the cheek to be a 2008 for 2008 member and say you haven't won a penny from these forums of that over 6 grand?

Are you saying(And i will have a look if you want) that if i go back through your posts i will find that you haven't thanked anyone on any thread on the comps board for entering the comps like the rest of us do so we know we have entered them?

Also as pointed out Catz has always apart from this one comp made a point of saying in her post not to put the answer late on and when people have she has said i thought i told you not to so to jump on one thread is a bit desperate?

I think you might find two, maybe three competitions thanked in last year, and perhaps four or five this year. Certainly no more than a dozen over the entire year, I would think. Please feel free to check and post the results.

Maybe Catz has always pointed out not to put the answer on, but the fact remains, she did so anyway. I have always requested politely that people NOT put the answers on to AIL comps and pointed people to AIL's requests on this very forum saying the exact same thing. I think it's a basic courtesy to comply by those requests; I'm sorry if others don't agree.

PREVIOUS AIL threads, I have said several times.
  • I never get embroiled in disagreements but just wanted to ask cavycrazy a civilised question, then I'll go & do more comps :p

If AIL have a problem with answers being posted I'm sure they can take this up with our BG's/abuse themselves, therefore I don't really understand why you are 'fighting their corner' (if you will) so vociferously.

I'm sure if they feel any abuse has been commited in terms of their comps they are more than capable of addressing this themselves.

    Ok, that's my 2 penn'orth - I'm off to comp!!

I enter comps, dont post many but give answers But people like Catz post inumerable competitions and people like you win £6,000 + on the back of it. Dont Tell me you haven'nt entered MSE comps without researching the answer and haveentered with the given one on the thread.
As For all in London. Yep I dont live London but enter the comps. You are so privileged knowing Barry. cos I've never heard of him. Do you get special entry consideration??? I live Island and just from experience it takes, 22, 23, 24, 25 minutes so take your pick. The answer is an estimate so not definitive. What Catz posted must have been her opinion then. And Your Problem is that All in London wont Post another comp again cos your Barry wont like it. So We are not the losers. Barry is with the hits to his site and comp publicity. Hugs to Barry xxxxxxxxx

Without wishing to fan the flames it's worth noting that my quick review of your posts suggest that you are being 'economical with the truth' here

I really shouldn't get involved as a total newcomer and someone who has only made one posting. However the reason I did post the comp was the clear generosity of spirit of everyone on this board i.e. if they can't win the comp, they want someone else they know to do well. The friendships which seem to have been forged are incredible and it is such a shame that great issue has been taken over something so innocent and amusing.
