Lush Solid shampoo bars

A quick question that I hope some people can give me their opinions on.
Has anyone used a Lush solid shampoo bar, and if so was it any good?
Quite fancy trying one but as they aren't the cheapest things around I didn't want to waste my money.
Would you use it every time you wash your hair or say, every other wash? Do they make your hair actually feel/look clean?
Help, I'm intrigued :D

really good. I use the 'hard ' one. two passes over my short hair and it lathers a treat and really cleans my hair. superb for taking on holiday and lasts for ages.

If you know anyone who has just bought one their grab bags you might be able to scrounge a 10% off voucher.
Lush are very good at giving samples of most things if you ask but I am not sure about the solid bars.
  • I've used Trichomania before (it's one of the ones that looks like a piece of soap, not one of the round ones that look like a hockey puck).

It lasted ages and ages and I really liked it. Lathered and cleaned well.

I've used both Trichomania (the coconut one) and Seanik. I can recommend both as they do lather very well and as long as you keep them dry in between use, they will last a while. Both made my hair really shiny too. :-)
  • I've used quite a few different ones, my favourite is the green one with a daisy in it (sorry can't remember what its called). It smells like a summers day.. a bonus on a day like today! Like others have said, they last ages.

Ohh - I think I might have to get me one then ;o)
I think it's the concept I can't get my head round really - have visions of getting the bar tangled up in my locks!
    Thank you x

I get eczema on my scalp and the Lush bars work wonders for it. I've used most of them, and each one has it's own special 'powers' so to speak, but you can easily find the details out from the shop, online or inthe Lush Times.

They always leave my hair really soft, shiny and squeaky clean. I use them for every wash and they do last a long time.

I would highly recommend them to anyone!
  • I have quite long hair and I use the seanik one- never got stuck in the year or so I've been using the bars :)

My only suggestion is don't buy the shampoo tin there- £2.69 is a bit steep and I got a plastic container for 10p which does the job!

These sound great , do they do a similar conditioner to match ?
  • I'm about to buy a couple more bars & try out the conditioner ones too. I last bought the 'squeaky green' bar - and it lasted ages. Left my hair really soft & shiny plus very clean feeling. Only problem was this particular bar has quite a lot of stick type bits throughout it & if I ran it over my hair it would break strands leaving me with broken hair sticking up on the top of my head! Trick is to lather it first in hands or on a mit before applying that lather to the hair - if it's long like mine is.
  • Not really shampoo, but if anyone gets eczema or scalp psoriasis, try the SNAKE OIL bar ... it is amazing!!

As one of the many symptoms of fibromyalgia, I started with very bad psoriasis. I was paying for prescriptions every second week, putting a chemical lotion on my head which dulled the itch for an hour or so before it became unbearable again .. and the flakes ... omg ... having long dark hair that always got compliments, I was gutted.

Now, I hold the snake oil bar in my hand and it kind of melts a bit in your hands, then rub that oil into your scalp ... I use half a bar a time! It sounds a lot, but boy oh boy it is miraculous what this stuff does!

As I say, I massage it in all over my scalp, then I wrap my head in clingfilm for one hour before I wash my hair ... it's a bit of a palavar, granted, but just doing this leaves me flake free and itch free (and scab free!) all week.

It's an absolute Godsend, so if you have scalp psoriasis then do try it because it is brilliant and it does work!!
