BBC FOOD Programme Item on omega 3's and omega 6's today.
Well worth listening to again.
Particularly for anyone interested in statins.
AFTER you have listened to the programme then the link to List of foods with LONG chain omega 3's is useful and I thought walnuts are probably a good omega 3 source but does it correct omega3 <> omega 6 ratio?
I'm downloading this as I post. I'll play with it later.
Free Calculator to work out your food nutrient content. You need to unzip it before you can run the programme. When it's unzipped click run. However it is very detailed and somewhat complex to understand how to fill it in. I've done the tutorial and I expect if you used it daily you'd soon get the hang of it.
But I'm not sure I want to spend the time learning how to use it although I think it could be helpful for some people who want to go into the full nutritional content of their diet.
I should also say the information provided from the download explaining the science on which it is based if worth reading.
