I have just been pondering on this too! Tried phoning the council offices but "But to the adverse weather conditions the council offices are closed today"... hmph!

I suppose my Council differs, or maybe it's because I moved house and had my bill recalculated a couple of times this year  Oh for stability...

Well i could get 1 debt paid off, that would be nice.

How do i go about that though?? As i am in a DMP with payplan, can i simply request that the extra payment i make of £105 in feb and then again in march goes to a certain creditor or will they not do that...

Edit - Have contacted payplan, just have to wait and see what they say.

I can't see payplan objecting, CCCS didn't with me,
i've just done a F&F with my smallest creditor
Asked CCCS first and no problems

And I don't get any free months from council tax I pay it over 12;)

  • Brilliant, our last payment for this financial year is 10th Feb, then 2 lovely months off. Might have a treat one month and pay debt the other month. I think it's only fair :)
