Spare Sky box - Can i use it?

I recently got Sky+ installed in our living room.
As i now have a spare ordinary Sky box, could i use it in another room and hook it into the same feed that goes into the + box.
I understand i couldn't get all the features of Sky+ but would i be able to get the standard free channels?

  • Bump! I would be interested to know this too. (but I have a suspicion that you would need another cable in from the dish)

    It's only a game

You cannot split the feed that is goingto the sky+ box.

What you will have to do in order to use your second box is run a cable from the dish (there are 4 ouputs on the LNB, two of which are used by your sky+ box) to the second box. This would then let you watch all the FTA channels available.
Things that are free in life are great, well most of the time
