Wanted decent bath toys for 1+ please

Hi all,

My little one has been invited to a party and mum has asked for bath toys for the birthday girl. I realise you can walk into just about anywhere and buy some. I have been looking at Argos, Mothercare and Toysrus but everything they sell is not good value. For example one wind up lobster is near £4.00!

I don't want to spend more than £10.00 if possible but I was just wondering if anyone had seen some toys on offer? or if you can recommend something that would be very helpful.

Thanks!

for a 1yr old, i would say you cant beat early learning centre for toys, etc.

someone recently bought my daughter a frog bath bubble blower from there, and although it says 3-6yrs, she is only 1 and loves it (im er..... yrs, and i put it on when im in the bath too lol) - ok due to the age thing, you would have to watch her, but i cant see any parts that are small enough for her to have probs with, and weve put it out of her reach up on the wall, so she only gets the effect of the bubbles, and doesnt touch the machine, its slightly out of your price range, but having looked through their catalogue there are lots of other things that should fit the bill

Thanks for the input. Looked online and the frog bath blower looks nice but is very much over budget. Hubby will definitely say no.

  • If there is one near you, Poundstretcher or Instore usually do inexpensive bath toys. Amazon have some that come in at just under a tenner if you have time to order online.
  • Home Bargains had a lovely Fisher Price set of bath toys. I bought one for a Christmas present and it was £7.99 if I remember right.

Home bargains - We got a squirter set (farmyard animals) for our little girl for christmas, also comes with a small net which suctions onto the side of the bath. Both our kids love it and best of all it was only £1.99 :D

Thanks all, I really wish I had a Home Bargains near me but we don't. HB is a fantastic shop I hope they open more stores in Cambridgeshire than what there currently is.

My local Asda tonight where rearranging the toy aisle and i seem to recall seeing some bath toys there for a reasonable price. Might be worth a look??
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?

Have you tried tesco? My son (now 2yrs) has lots of bits from there they have a thing in the shape of a frog that sticks to the side of the bath and has bits that spin if you pour water on it all that sort of thing.
He also has the teletubbies bath island which is great and I think cost £11 when I got it

I'm not sure if this http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.203-9937.aspx is like the frog bubble thing but it is just under £10 and also available in store at tesco
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.
