Do you mean Higher Education or Further Education? There are further ed courses in social care that could be free if you don't have many qualifications- I'm not sure these will ever be distance learning - as social care courses have a practical element with work placements (I work in a Further Ed college). You could 'phone Learndirect -they can often point you in the right direction- even if it's not a Learndirect course that you want - they give impartial advice. Depending on your income, some of their courses could be free if they were suitable.0

Hiya
I remember when I did Open University a couple of years ago they had a scheme where by if you were on a lower income you didnt pay for the course.. I was earning about £15k at the time so I qualified for that.
They do diplomas, certificates and degrees but I dont know if the financial help was just for scotland?
You can always chekc it out. I got a Law diploma and a Social Science diploma and a Certificate in Psychology all for nothing! xx:heart2: Its 12 o'clock and I need your attention :heart2:Debt at Aug 2008 : Bank of Scotland CC : £1605 :mad:Overdraft : GONE!:j:staradmin Debt free aim: Sometime in 2009:staradmin0 -
There's financial help for anybody studying at degree level part time and on a low income. This could be with the OU or a traditional university.0
