Thanks to everyone that replied the other day regarding my husband walking out on me. Just tried to find post again to thank you all but can't see for looking.
I'm not in a good state trying to be positive but feel sick as a dog. He's on about maybe coming back now, but then again maybe not - I haven't got a clue what to do. So much for a fresh start!!! Anyway I am sorting all the utilities out today as rented house is officially mine. My current house elec and gas in with N Power, N Power are also the suppliers at the new address. I am in deficit by £500 with N Power so have switched online to EDF at the new house so when I go bankrupt the N Power will be included. My worry if EDF are going to take between 4 and 6 weeks to switch, I was planning on going bankrupt in the next couple of weeks. Do you think I might be best waiting until the EDF account is up and running? I have set a direct debit up with N Power for the new address as don't want to be getting into any debt at the new house (landlord has been fab so would not do that) and have cancelled the direct debits at mortgaged soon to be repossessed house.
Next question. I have two O2 mobile phone contracts - one for my mobile the other for husbands. I have phoned O2 and confirmed that they are on different accounts. I want to include my husbands in the bankruptcy needless to say so i'm not stuck with a £45 per month IPhone bill I don't want. What do you think the chances of O2 allowing me to keep one number but the other being included bearing in mind they are on different accounts. Do you think I should look into pay as you go and just include them both?? Really want to keep a contract phone so not ideal but want this mess sorted once and for all.
Hope I have made sense - not really with it. Can't stop throwing up - him leaving is doing wonders for my baby bulge!!! He is going to have to make his mind up or i'm ringing all the numbers you gave me the other day. Thank you again to everyone who responded xx

you will probably find that when you book your court date that you wont get a date any time soon, so you may as well get the court date sorted and im guessing you would have switchrd by then
as for the phone contracts from what i have read on a thread (vodafone) the OR will not bother with it and allow you to keep it going so you would have to phone O2 and explain your situation and ask them to cancel the other line0 -
Thanks, my local court does not have a bankruptcy wait - could be in Thursday this week if I wanted to. The sooner the better for me xI cant change the past, but the future is mine to play with!

When do you move into the new house? There will be a 'cross-over' period whilst the new suppliers take over (I had the same here). You should receive a final bill from N Power for the new address, then just switch to the new supplier

Difficult one - if you try to put one into the bankruptcy and keep the other one, O2 might get stroppy. How much is the monthly bill on your phone? It might well be worth moving to PAYG and putting both into the bankruptcy if they are in your name.Get free advice before embarking on bankruptcy: CCCS 0800 138 1111 National Debtline 0808 808 4000

I'm planning to move in the next week or two - starting moving things this weekend. We have only just had 7 days notice of repossession so the house will still be in our names for a while yet. N Power said that to me, she said that there are two accounts now to start paying the direct debit for the new account and then when our house is no longer ours they will send a final bill and I can go on a debt plan to pay it off - did not tell her about bankruptcy needless to say. My worry is if I go bankrupt before EDF take over then N Power will kno,w so if the new contract has not started what will happen? That's why my thought was to pay the N Power new account but not the old one and perhaps have no choice but to delay bankruptcy until it is sorted. Do you think this is neccessary??
I spend £35 a month on my mobile for 600 calls and 500 texts I think. Will have to look into pay as you go. Anyone got any good recommendations??I cant change the past, but the future is mine to play with!

Do you want to get rid of your mobile contract or keep it?

Just a thought re phone, if your happy with the phone why not look at a sim only contract, tmobile are one of the best, and if you go through Quidco you get cash back, also Vodafone have increased their cashback on sim only deals, may be worth looking into that, ur get a lot better deal as price structure then u have a the moment. xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0

I'm the sort of spiteful person that would contact O2 now and ask them to cancel the husband's phone straightaway0 -

Ideally I wanted to keep the phone but only because I thought pay as you go would work out much more expensive. I have taken my husbands sim card off him and cut it up - I keep ringing him begging him to come home - pathetic but am beside myself, I have done it so I cant contact him as dont even have his mates number where he is staying. Dont want to be spiteful but yet at the same time he has bailed on me!!!
Any ideas??
Any ideas on the utilities too as I want to be br sooner rather than later ideally xI cant change the past, but the future is mine to play with!
