My first post was badly phrased - I wish I said "there is MORE to being a decent broker than just "sitting there and looking at the results of putting in various data" "

I really do believe that there is room for everyone - there are loads of great face to face brokers out there, who provide an excellent service to consumers - I'd be devestated if we contributed in any way to the demise of these types of people.

I've always thought that smaller brokers fight isn't really with L&C - it's against a prevailing negative perception that people have with financial advisors on the whole, and unfortunatly the fact that there are still some less than white brokers doesn't help.

I do apologise if anyone felt that I belittled what a decent mortgage broker does - I do it all day, I know how hard it is.

Anyway, this is all a bit off topic. I didn't come here to step on anyones toes, just to help out anyone who was having problems with L&C - that offer remains - I do genuinely believe in what we do here at L&C - I know we're not perfect and forums like this allow people to feedback to us where we can improve - so please do.
