I bought a bright pink angora cardigan from TKmax a while back. It looks great on but everything it touches turns pink. I have washed it by hand but still no luck. I thought it would have to be dumped but perhaps there is a way to stop this.

My mum always used to soak wool in vinegar to make it colour fast, I also remember her soaking clothes in salt before their first wash to do the same. Maybe try one of these?

I use salt to make things colour fast - after all thats what you use when you dye something.

Do you mean because bits of wool moult onto your clothes when you are are wearing it ? Not because the colour runs in the wash?

Yes the wool moults into everything. I have ruined a new white tee shirt as I cannot get it off. I cannot think of anything I can do.

Oh sorry, I see what you mean, I thought you meant the colour was running.

I think I read somewhere that putting it in the freezer overnight might help, but I think the effect is only temporary.
