e-mail them telling them you are canceling, this way it's out of your hands.

the best way is to cancel your debit card and get a new one. or transfer all fund away from that account
A lot of hassle because one merchant does not offer correct c/s.
Think the promotion of these trials ( which earns the linking site a commission ) should come with a warning on the difficulities of cancellingAny posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0 -

cancellation is only possible by calling them, they answered for me after 2-3 minutes of waiting.0

I reckon it's a scam, because even though my card expired, they managed to start debiting it from my new card without my permission, that's got to be illegal! I had the same problem trying to cancel the free trial, they just ignored my email. Absolutely disgusting, and wihout doubt a money generating scam. Anyway, to the point has anyone actually managed to cancel it successfully?0

Why is it a scam just because you were too lazy/stupid/relying on your card's expiry to give them a quick call to tell them you didn't want the service. If you had actually read the terms when you'd signed up you'd have find them quite clearly printed. Of course they're there to generate money...did you think they were a charity or something?
The card updating service is something that was provided by your bank. Thinking it about it for more than a nanosecond, is it possible that your gut reaction and the reality as considered by a massive corporation's legal team might just be that it's perfectly legal?0 -
