Just rung tax credits to swap my bank accounts or changed to giro.........

It can take 30 days madam to process the change.

It took them 14 hours last week to deduct my income.

  • If they pay it into the old account, the OR will happily fax them telling them to release the funds to you. Sorry for the grief...

  • Yep, I rang them a month before br with my co-op details and I was told no problem and they promised to alter my cb as well - guess wot it all went into my ltsb account. Luckily for some reason my ltsb a/c wasn't frozen when I went br so I checked with the or and did a direct transfer from one a/c to the other! I rang them up and complained but I don't think they could give a ****!

  • And just out of interest our ltsb a/c has never been frozen - we went b/r in Oct08 and I can still go onto the internet and go into my account, no money in the account and still shows our overdraft, they keep putting charges on at the start of the month and then removing them on the 14th of each month - Weird!!!!!

As it is a benefit they have to be or face all sorts of questions, so don't panic

  • I phoned them Saturday when my shiny new Co-op card arrived to get mine moved as well, I find it hilarious (well hilariously annoying) that they cannot tell you when in a 30 day period they'll change the details over. Totally useless.

Hi, I was declared bankrupt middle of august and the tax credits people are still unable to pay my money into my Co-op account! I have to be sent a giro every 4 weeks. Technical problems apparently!

Doesn't matter how big the overdraft is - they can grumble and moan as much as they like, they []have[/b] to release the funds to you. I spent an afternoon in my building society's branch waiting for my cb to be released, but they released it in the end.
