whats the minimum hours for full time employee?

Hi Everyone,

My hours have been cut down since December from 37.5 / week down to between 6 and 16 / week.

I'm really struggling at the moment as you can imagine.
The company doesn't make us redundant and with around £40.00 / earnings a week I can't do much.

I have the permanent contract with the company which is also "Open-Ended".
It states:

Hours of Work:
You are required to attend for work as below:

Monday to Friday
Hours commencing 8.30am
Finishing 5.00pm

---

Then in the final section of the agreement:

Your contract of employment with the company is open-ended. The company retains the right to send employees home unpaid if no work is available until such time as more work is available. The selection of employees to be sent home will be done by comparing the work available with teh skills of the staff available.
The company clearly states that employees will only be sent home as a last resort.

Now - is there anything I can do having the agreement stated this way?
