Samsung Laser Printer Cartridges

I bought a Samsung Mono Laser Printer ML-510 for £50 which comes with a half cartridge - I was pleased as at the time they were selling for £99. I was pretty shocked though to find that a new cartridge costs as much as the printer did!

So I bought two bottles of toner off eBay for £10 and refilled it myself - it took about 15 minutes as you have to unscrew the top and prise it open [carefully]. Printing is perfect and the toner is two large bottles so there is a least 3 more refills there. Saving at least £90 on buying new cartridges is very much worth 15 minutes effort .... :T

I have found http://euroffice.co.uk do good prices for Samsung Laser Toner cartridges with next day delivery. After a few refills, the drum may be too damaged to give a reasonable quality print.

Good to hear that you found a cheap solution using the toner refill kit.
I came across this site http://www.refilltoner.com/samsungRefillCom.html a while back that sell such kits. There are some instructions for each Manufacturer so you can gauge whether you fancy doing the procedure.

Can u still buy a printer for £50, if so where?
  • Just bought a new cartridge for my Samsung but before installing it my daughter told me to take the old cartridge out and and gently rotate it from side to side, result! a lot more pages of print left and new cartridge still in box.

Her contribution to mum's money saving.

There's a few places selling Sub £60 Samsung Lasers at the including ebuyer & Whsmith.
  • Damn, I wish I'd known about the rotating the cartridge thingy before I refilled my cartridge last week. I got my refils from https://www.consumablecafe.co.uk which was the most reasonable price I could find at the time (£7.99 for a bottle of toner).

Found the site above to be really useful seeing it will halve the cost of our HP Colour laserjet expenses. Many thanks

It may be worth saying that the site has all major company printer refills available too. Just click http://www.refilltoner.com/ManufacturerSearch.asp
