How do I find out if I have done this

I was online messing about with mortgage calculators and the likes, as I've been considering buying property this year. I was on my bank's website and had a personal illustration but didnt realise I had applied for the mortgage, I thought I was just saving it

I'm afraid of it being applied and getting rejected as I dont have a great credit rating, no CCJ's or anything but defaults and it would affect me greatly in the future

Any advice how to rescind this

    Call them in the morning and tell them it was an accident.
    I am a Mortgage Consultant and don't like to be told what I can and can't put in a signature so long as it's legal and truthful.
