Can you please give more detail about this, thanks
No reliance should be placed on the above.
  • It's a sci-fi series, kind of like a western in space about the crew of a spaceship called Serenity. The recent film Serenity was a continuation of it. Amazon are selling the complete series on DVD for £12.97

Firefly was a sci fi series by Joss Whedon (creater of Buffy & Angel). It was only broadcast in America as a short run before it was axed.

It is however absolutely brilliant and well worth getting.
  • It was broadcast in the UK as well, on Sky on the sci-fi channel.

The only problem being that you get to see just enough episodes to get you completely hooked - and then you realise no more have been made! It's all you would expect of a Joss Whedon venture, with great characters, witty dialogue and plenty of action.
I've yet to see "Serenity" - it's sitting in the cupboard, wrapped up for my son's birthday later this month. Don't know how I've resisted the temptation to sneakily watch it!
"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.
  • As the others have said, this was an absolute stonker of a series, good plots and characters, with the trade mark Joss Whedon sense of humour behind it all.

The film wraps up a couple of the loose ends from the series, but before the film there was talk of the series returning to TV??

Worth £13 of anyones money IMHO

  • I'll have to give it another chance going by this thread. I watched one and thought it was pretty poor.
  • The first one is a bit poor but it gets better
