mum is very very sore but she'll live.. I am rather proud of her actually.. she is trying to breastfeed, though I don't think it will last long but at 16 that is a major deal! And every day she does is a bonus for her little one. Jacob is fine.. DS1 is absolutely besotted and behaving like a total f***wit!

Brilliant, well done to mum for breast feeding, as you say, every day is good if you can, and I bet your DS is like a dog with two... (put own word in here - I was going to use tail... :o )..........................

    Fruitcake recipe, anyone? Pretty please?

So would I, those eyes are impossible to resist... I couldn't do your job, it would break my heart every time and we would end up with a house full of dogs and no room for us... :rotfl:

Boiled Cake Recipe - (or or VERY easy fruit cake recipe...)

(Oh, sorry, old money from me, not new fangled kilos :D , and a cup is anything - doesn't seem to matter with this recipe - I have used tea cups to mugs, still lovely...)

    1/4 lb butter or marg
    1 cup sugar
    1 1/2 cups sultanas/mixed fruit/whatever takes your fancy

Put butter into a saucepan (medium to large) to melt, then add sugar and stir in with fruit. Leave to cool a bit.

    Then add:
    1 cup milk
    2 cups SR Flour
    1 egg

Mix together, then put into cake tin and cook for about 1 - 2 hours (very random, changes each time I make it :rotfl: , just check after about 1 hour with a skewer or something to see if cooked inside) gas mark 3 (not sure on electric cookers?)

Really lovely and moist and only washing up is 1 saucepan, 1 mixing spoon and 1 cake tin...

I hate it when this happens. Not that often thankfully but it's still a pain if you'll pardon the pun.:o Silly thing is all the brightness of the snow aint helping it either:rolleyes:

No more flying for me today. Been in bed the last couple of hours sleeping in the dark trying to get rid of this headache. Got up starving, had a coffee and some biccies and now I feel sick again:rolleyes: Think I'm gonna go back to bed again for a bit. Will check in again later.

Thanks Flower! I'll give that a try, it sounds nice.

You should see the state of my floors after all my work yesterday. Methinks the mop will be out again later on. Anyone know how to teach dogs to wipe their feet? And yes, I do dry them off when they come in, but it's catching them quickly that's the problem.

Back in from the snow - friend and her 2 girls came with us as well so they played on the sledges and built a snowman, had a snowball fight, made snow angels, etc. Kids have gone across the road to said friend's house now for a bit. We came back when it started snowing again as the temperature really dropped and we'd been out over an hour.
