Girly Night In on a budget?

What are your best ideas/top tips for having a girly night in on a tight budget?

  • Clothes swap! Everyone brings a bag of clothes/jewellery/handbags/shoes - anything as long as it's in good condition but no longer wanted. Everyone digs in - whatever's left can be donated to the charity shop or ebay'd by the hostess (her privelige as she provides the venue ;) ).

Everyone also brings drink and an agreed item of food/chips/dips/etc. Good music and the evening is sorted!
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)

I'd suggest Saninsburys Meals for a fiver as they serve four and some of the recipes are delicious. You can search on the Sainsburys website for them.

Other than that, I'd say everyone bring a dish for a buffet and everyone bring their favourite chick flick DVD to watch together. They're always fun evenings :)

My friends and I recently had a Wii evening. Absolutely tons of fun and we got to burn off the calories of the food too! .. but you do need to already have a Wii for this to be a cheap night in haha.
  • My cheap 'girls night in' consist of:

Everyone brings a bottle - usually Rose wine :D
Watch girly DVD classics that we all love (e.g. Clueless/Bridget Jones etc)
Eat cr*p food - pizza, ice cream, chocolate!!!
    Have a good gossip
More often than not we end up having a sleepover as nobody wants to leave!

IMO these are the best nights and much more enjoyable than an expensive night out in a club.
